The exterior design development is the beginning of the yacht build process.

​

From this part of the development our team will produce a result that consists of the 3D modeling, visualization and General Arrangement

 

Phase 1 : Client Brief and Analysis

• Sketches and Visualization

• 2D and 3D studies 

• Space and Technical Spacing Specifications

 

Phase 2: Design Development (Support with Shipyard Tendering)

• Presentation of design options

• Client Design Approval

• 3D Model and Renders of the Yacht Design 

• Bloc General Arrangement

 

Phase 3: Implementation of Design (after the signing of shipyard contract) 

• Detailed General Arrangement

• 2D Drawings and development mock ups

• Material and Soft Fittings placement

 

Phase 4 Production 

• Shipyard and Supplier implementation of design intent 

• Meetings workshops together with shipyards and their suppliers

 

Phase 5 Supervision of Construction

• Shipyard visits and design checks 

• Communication with owners team

 

Phase 6 Completion and Handover

During this phase the shipyard & shipyard suppliers will work on the implementation of the design intent.

A very important part of the design process is the accurate interpretation of the design intent. 

​

In order to achieve this SYD will regularly attend meetings/visits on-site to review the construction in order to control that it translates the design intent.

​

We will also work with the shipyard for the complete build period helping them with issues / questions related to the design.
